The Google Plus update. Now what?
So..about that Google Plus update. If you are like us and work with local clients, you’re probably still digesting what exactly Google did when they made the change. A lot of marketers and local business owners are still sorting it out.
Here is what we noticed is missing.

-Reviews (see below for more on this)
What was once a nice online snapshot or business card type layout with a great deal of information about the business…
is now a stripped and barren layout, with quite frankly, not a lot of information visible to the viewer.
We are all for minimalist designs, but this seems a bit extreme. Or is it just us? Google has been known to throw things against the wall to see how they stick and then revert back to the old version while they continue to tweak and test things.
The biggest impact we see is the reviews. But fear not, thanks to
https://www.grade.us/home/labs/google-review-link-generator there is an easy way to give your customers a link to get reviews.
So lets get to it.
1) Visit : https://www.grade.us/home/labs/google-review-link-generator
2) It will run through and process some information and then you should see a screen like the one below. Make sure to choose the correct listing that is associated with your verified Google My Business Account.
3) A results page will appear with several options for sharing, depending on how technically savvy you are, we suggest choosing the second option. The second option proves much friendlier for the end user. Copy and paste the URL from the second link and send it to your clients.
From there, they can send that link out to solicit reviews for their business.
Easy breezy.
4) This is what clicking on the second link will look like to the person asked to write a review.
We hope this will help you and your clients get more reviews.
Until next time 🙂
